My latest adventure involved something I never thought I would do as an able-bodied person – much less disabled. I heard from a friend about an organization that takes people with disabilities surfing. After researching it, I knew I just could not pass up this opportunity. It was such an amazing experience to be back in the ocean, and to have my husband and kids right in the middle of the action with me. The highlight of the day happened when I got back in my chair.
I looked over at my son, and with tears in his eyes, he said “Mom, there is just absolutely nothing you can’t do!”
